What You Need
Printable Foofa templates
1 twenty-four-pack crayon box
Small piece of clear packing tape
Dark pink, light pink, yellow, red ,and aqua foam sheets
2 wiggly eyes
Pen or marker in black
Safety scissors
Craft glue
Removable hanging strips (from local hardware store) or a hook for hanging

What You Do

Prepare the crayon box
Open the top of the crayon box and cut off the top flap. Cut a U-shape in the front of the crayon box for an opening. Open the bottom of the box and snip out a piece to allow the charger's cord to run out of the bottom of the box. Reinforce the bottom of box with clear packing tape.

Print templates and create Foofa
  • Using the template, trace Foofa's head onto the darker pink foam. Using the flower template, trace the shape onto the light pink foam. Cut a small oval from the light pink foam for a nose. Cut a small crescent shape for a mouth. Use the flower center template to trace the circle shape on yellow foam. Using the background template, cut out the background piece in aqua.

  • Cut out all of the pieces.

  • Glue the background pieces onto the front of the crayon box. If you like, cut a narrow strip and glue it to the back tab of the crayon box, as we did.
  • Glue the flower shape to the top of the head. Then glue the flower center to the flower. Glue the flower-topped head to the front of the box. Let dry.

  • Add the wiggly eyes, and then draw eyelashes over each. Glue on the mouth and nose.

  • Set up the charging station
You can hang the charging station on a wall near the outlet in one of two ways: Either poke a hole for a nail or hook, so it can be hung on the wall. Or, add removable hanging strips to the back and another to the wall.

    Get charging!
Drop Mom's phone, PDA, or MP3 player into the box. Slip the cord from the charger up through the bottom of the box, plugging it into the electronic device. When the charger is not in use, keep the cord pulled up through the bottom of the box where it is easily accessible next time charging is necessary.
