HOW TO PLAY

Step 1
Before playing, kids can select their favorite music on a CD or a cassette tape or turn on the radio to a station they like.

Step 2
One person gets to control the music. When the music is on, everyone dances. When the music stops, everyone freezes.

Step 3
If a player doesn't freeze in time, he's out of the game. The last player still in the game gets to control the music next.

Step 4
Before playing, you might record a selection of different types of music (country, rock, classical) and mix it up on a cassette tape or CD. This way you'll be encouraging kids to dance in different ways based on the different styles of music. You could also practice different types of dances with your kids before you start playing. For example, have them pretend to be ballet dancers, disco dancers, or country line dancers.
