		Babies are introduced to the music of Beethoven as they experience a symphony of sights and sounds in this now-classic DVD. A companion to the original "Baby Einstein" title, "Baby Mozart," this bestselling DVD celebrates its tenth anniversary with a special edition containing expanded content and new bonus features. It is indeed an "Ode to Joy."

0-12 months. YES Unlike many of the later "Baby Einstein" titles in which music serves as background, taking a backseat to developmental concepts and skills, this one stars the masterpieces of Beethoven, making it appropriate for even very young babies who don't have to do anything but listen! For them, the eye-catching visuals are simply icing on the cake.
12-18 months. YES Babies love to watch other babies, and they'll be drawn to the up-close and personal faces of their peers while "My Country, 'Tis of Thee" plays proudly. They'll also be fascinated by the young musicians playing toy instruments, and will probably want to do the same!
18-24 months. YES This is a time of great development for many babies, and they'll be curious about a door-opening--and eye-opening--game, in which a slew of surprises are found behind each door. They'll also enjoy watching the Baby Einstein puppets, and will find much to look at, listen to and learn from.
2+. MAYBE Two-year-olds have wandering attention spans, but the philosophy of this DVD is "Upbeat Music Inspires Active Playtime," and the Beethoven tunes featured here certainly encourage that. There's nothing stuffy about this classical music, and the babies blowing, beating and banging on their own instruments will have young viewers on their feet, marching along!
