0-12 months. YES This DVD features "Soothing Music for Gentle Play," which is perfect for even the youngest babies. Because there are no real concepts they need to struggle to understand, they can simply enjoy the music and be lulled by the hypnotic ticking of a metronome and the calming images of soft, stuffed animals and dolls.
12-18 months. YES One-year-olds, who are becoming more curious about the world around them, will be entranced by the vibrant, still-life pictures of juicy grapes, apples, and bananas and may even start trying to name them themselves. The repetitive images and different versions of the same items will make them feel comfortable and help them master specific ideas.
18-24 months. YES As babies approach their second birthday, they'll get a kick out of hearing the familiar "Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star," and listening to it being "quacked," "mooed," "meowed," and "woofed" by some of their favorite animals! They'll also enjoy seeing shapes being placed in a shape sorter and fit into a puzzle.
2+. MAYBE The DVD may not have enough action to keep on-the-go 2-year-olds interested, but may be a good way to slow them down and get them ready for a nap. |
