In Theaters Now Best For Tweens (10-12)
Rated PG-13
Action Adventure | Fantasy/Sci-Fi
As Bella (Kristen Stewart) adjusts to life as a vampire, she and Edward (Robert Pattinson) must protect their newborn daughter, Renesmee, from the Volturi, who believe the baby is an “immortal” and a threat to their existence.
Much to the dismay of the millions of fans who have made the series a phenomenon, this is the final installment of “The Twilight Saga.” Although it remains true to the story, the movie does include a few surprises, which will keep viewers riveted to the screen. The sexual suggestiveness and graphic violence would make any other film inappropriate for younger viewers but because the vast majority of tweens who are interested in seeing it have already devoured the books many times over, it’s probably a moot point as this is the end of the series and “Twilight” will soon fade.

There are some very intense battle scenes in which heads go flying and children are thrown into fires, as well as talk of Bella's seemingly insatiable new sexual appetite--all of which is inappropriate for younger kids. Fans of the books will be prepared for most of this, although it is more disturbing to watch the violence onscreen than to read about it. Older tweens will enjoy the flashbacks to the first three movies and will leave the theater, satisfied, knowing that love is eternal and that Bella and Edward--and Jacob and Renesmee--will live happily ever after.
