		Dora and Boots help save Mermaid Kingdom from a mean garbage-dumping Octopus by finding Mariana the Mermaid's magical crown and returning it to her before the kingdom disappears under a pile of trash! Fans who have practically memorized every episode of "Dora the Explorer" will be thrilled to discover this new, never-before-seen direct-to-DVD double-length episode. Preschoolers learn so much from Dora--not just basic skills like counting and Spanish vocabulary, but the important life lesson that there will always be obstacles and that they can be overcome. It's only fitting that this story takes place in the sea because, when it comes to helping others, Dora always dives right in!


	Very young babies won't understand the importance of cleaning up, but it's never too soon to teach them! Two-year-olds are likely to be up on their feet, interacting with Dora and Boots, repeating words after them, following their instructions and celebrating their victory with a rousing, "We did it!"

Preschoolers love mermaids, and they'll especially love that Dora magically gets a chance to be a real mermaid herself. They'll be pleasantly surprised when Dora's cousin Diego makes a guest appearance and when Swiper becomes a thief with a conscience and gives back the crown he took from Dora. They'll find it ironic that later in the story Swiper is encouraged to swipe in order to remove garbage piled on a whale, and will find it strange to actually hear the words, "Swiper, swipe!" coming out of their own mouths! Preschoolers will have fun visiting the Silly Sea, which houses not only catfish, but dogfish, cowfish, and chickenfish as well!


	Most older kids have probably outgrown Dora, but those on the younger end may still enjoy a new story starring their heroine. Kids in this age group are mature enough to take responsibility for their actions, and they may learn the importance of throwing trash in the proper place rather than tossing it on the ground. They may even be inspired to join a beach clean-up themselves.


	This DVD is intended for younger children.
