Dora and Boots help Swiper discover the true meaning of Christmas so Santa will take him off the “naughty” list.

This preschool version of the holiday classic A Christmas Carol will introduce young viewers to Charles Dickens’s cautionary tale in a fun and gentle way, led by some of their favorite animated TV characters. Swiper the fox is a perfect Scrooge, who must visit his past, present, and future selves to learn the true meaning of Christmas. Children will be fascinated to see Swiper at each age but may not learn his lesson right away; when it comes to this DVD, especially, they’ll probably still prefer receiving to giving!
Baby (0-2)
Maybe Very young children may not understand everything that's going on but they will immediately feel the characters' warmth and grasp the true spirit of the story. Two-year-olds will find it reassuring that, rather than simply getting angry at him, Swiper's friends band together to help him improve.
Preschool (3-5)
Yes Preschoolers will completely relate to Swiper's confession, "I really like swiping," and the fact that he has trouble controlling himself. They'll love seeing baby Swiper and old Swiper, as well as the little troll who they know now as the Grumpy Old Troll! Young children will be shocked by the possibility of a present-less Christmas and will be eager to see if Swiper can redeem himself. It will empower them to discover that, yes, he--and they--can!
Kids (6-9)
Most kids in this age group are probably ready for more sophisticated versions of A Christmas Carol--bah, humbug!--but those on the younger side may still feel more comfortable with Dora, Boots, and Swiper. At the beginning of the DVD, Santa says, "The elves love a good story," and chances are six-year-olds will, too!
Tweens (10-12)
This DVD is intended for younger children.
