		When his heroic daredevil brother Scorch (Brendan Fraser) is captured by humans on Earth, nerdy alien Gary Supernova (Rob Corddry) realizes it's time to leave his comfort zone--and his Mission Control chair on planet Baab--to go rescue him. Kids are always fascinated when movies portray humans as the bad guys, and they will agree with Gary when he says, "I guess life's pretty unpredictable, after all." This animated adventure features some important life lessons--family comes first, brains are more important than brawn--and it's likely to make young viewers think twice about the accuracy of the term "intelligent life!"

	This movie is intended for older children.


	Preschoolers will be fascinated by the blue inhabitants of planet Baab. Even if they don't understand everything that's going on, they will have no problem realizing that brothers have to stick together and help each other, and that nothing is more important than family.

Kids will find for thought in the fact that the aliens are the good guys here, and the humans are the villains, having captured a number of creatures from different planets--even though they've all come in peace. The story will empower children who are more driven by their brains than their bodies, as the "nerdy" Gary ultimately becomes a hero and makes it cool to understand technology and how things work.

Most tweens will find the movie too babyish, and they'll know where the story's heading right from the beginning. They may find it interesting that Earth is described as a place where people worship money and build boundaries that they then dispute and fight over. They may be disillusioned that corruption is not limited to our own planet, and they'll see the irony when Gary points out, "Nothing says peace like a giant gun."
