Age-By-Age Guide
Fantasy/Sci-Fi | Action Adventure
Sam (Shia LeBeouf) enters college, only to find himself once again in the middle of an intergalactic war between the good Autobots and the evil Decepticons.

They're ba-a-ack! The original movie--which was inspired by the popular toys--was a huge hit, and this one is even more action-packed. It's also really loud and, on IMAX screens, really in-your-face, making it more intense. There are valuable lessons about loyalty and working together, but they're overpowered by the screeching decibel level of the steady violence.

Tweens (10-12)
Maybe There's no doubt that many tweens will want to see it, but the movie's non-stop explosive action makes it iffy for them, as does the profanity, suggestiveness and the fact that Sam's mom gets high on a marijuana-spiked brownie. Older tweens will be eager to see what happens to Optimus Prime, and will enjoy the close relationship between Sam and his car, Bumblebee.
