Plankton plots to finally be included on Santa's "nice”" list--by making everyone else "naughty!"
Kids of all ages are likely to find something to enjoy in this hilarious story. It's short but not so sweet, making it perfect for the whole family! With plenty of signature SpongeBob heart and humor, it just may become a new holiday classic.
Catch SpongeBob's absorbing holiday special, "It's a SpongeBob Christmas!" Thursday, December 6 @ 8pm only on NIckelodeon.
This DVD is intended for older children.
Younger preschoolers may find it disturbing that Plankton taints the fruitcake and that the residents of Bikini Bottom all start to turn against each other. Five-year-olds may understand his inability to give in to temptation when they realize that every year all Santa brings him is a lump of coal!
Kids will fall over themselves laughing when Plankton's fruitcake makes everyone cranky and mean, and they just may appreciate Plankton's creative thinking that it would be easier to make everyone else "naughty" than to try to be "nice" himself! They'll love the two big musical numbers, with lesson-laced lyrics like, "The world doesn't revolve around you. Don't be a jerk!" and "Don't let people down, or leave the toilet seat up."
Tweens tend to steer clear of most holiday stories but because SpongeBob is involved, they'll realize this isn't going to be a sappy one! Cynics will find it funny when Squidward decorates his house for the holidays with lights that spell out "Go away!" They'll also get a kick out of a store Santa tossing a child off his lap, saying, "Why don't you get a job and buy all that stuff yourself?"
