		The adorable puppy who has captured young hearts for three decades stars in half a dozen episodes of the popular children's TV show. Generations of children have grown up with Eric Hill's lift-the-flap picture books, and the fun now continues in these animated adventures. Because babies love playing peek-a-boo, they'll be perched on the edge of their seats when Spot's mom opens doors to look for Spot, only to find silly bears, lions, and hippos instead! Even as technology continues to advance fast and furiously, don't be surprised to find Spot and his simple stories still around in another 30 years.


	Even the youngest babies will feel the warmth emanating from the characters in these sweet stories. At five minutes apiece, each episode is easy to enjoy, with few words and simple animation. Two-year-olds will find the hide-and-seek theme of half the tales very dramatic, and will have fun guessing where Spot is hiding, where he left his beloved bone and what he'll open with the key he found.

Five-year-olds are probably ready for more complex stories and will be bored by Spot's visits to the park and the playground. Younger preschoolers, though, will laugh when Spot has a hard time pushing Helen the Hippo on a swing and they'll eagerly anticipate what will happen when Spot and Helen decide to go on the see-saw together! They'll also relate to the fact that Spot doesn't care at all that his feet are wet and muddy from jumping in puddles, but as soon as his mom makes him take a bath, he complains, "I think I've had enough water for one day!"
