To make this do-together craft, you'll need either a 42-ounce or 18-ounce oatmeal canister and printable sticker paper. You can easily find everything you need at craft stores and craft-supply Web sites.

What You Need
18- or 42-ounce oatmeal canister
Diego's African Safari Drum template
Craft glue
Safety scissors
Sticker paper
Diego's African Safari Stickers
String
Brown ribbon

What You Do

Step 1
Decide with your child whether to make a small drum or large drum, and then print out our colorful red and green drum template

Step 2
Parents can help their child cut out the drum template and glue it to the oatmeal canister. Once the template has been glued on, run your hand up and down the canister to smooth out any bumps.

Step 3
Have your child cut out and place Diego's African Safari Stickers around the canister to personalize their drum.

Step 4
Help your child cut out pieces of string and glue them over the white dashes on the drum template.

Step 5
Cut a piece of brown ribbon long enough to go over your child's shoulder. Parents can staple one end of the ribbon to the top of the canister and one end to the bottom. After stapling, glue a piece of ribbon over the staples to prevent them from scratching.
