Step 1
Before you start to decorate make a batch of Vanilla Cupcakes or Chocolate Cupcakes, or you can make an assortment of both basic cupcake recipes.
Step 2
Press two pieces of pink fruit taffy together. Heat each piece in the microwave for no more than 3 seconds to soften slightly. Roll out the taffy on a clean work surface into a 1 3/4- by 2 3/4-inch teardrop shape. Round the sides with clean scissors to make Foofa's head. Cut the red fruit chews into quarters and shape each piece into a 3/4-inch mouth.
Step 3
Tint 1/2 cup of the vanilla frosting light pink with the food coloring. Spoon into a small resealable bag. Spoon 1/4 cup of the vanilla frosting into a small resealable bag.
Step 4
Spread the remaining vanilla frosting on top of the cupcakes and make smooth. Place the pink fruit chews on top of the cupcakes. Snip a small corner from the bags with the frostings. Pipe a decorative edge at the bottom of the pink fruit chew and a flower shape at the top. Add the yellow candy in the center of the flower shape. Pipe two ovals as the eyes with the white frosting. Add the brown candies as the pupils. Pipe a pink nose and add the red fruit chew piece as the mouth. Pipe eyelashes with the chocolate frosting.
