This pizza sauce is easy to make (five ingredients) and easy on the taste buds. The recipe makes about two cups and you can keep it in the fridge for up to a week.

Heat the olive oil in a medium sauce pan over medium heat. Add the garlic and cook until fragrant, about 30 seconds. Add the tomatoes and break them up with a potato masher or the back of a spoon until they are small pieces. Season to taste with salt and pepper and add the oregano.
Bring the mixture to a boil and simmer over low heat, stirring occasionally, for about 30 minutes.
Transfer to a container and cool completely. Makes about 2 cups sauce. Can cover and keep for up to one week in the refrigerator.
