Bubble Puppy's Bone Cookies

Got a bunch of bones? Get ready for giggles galore when you bake up these fin-tastic treats!

Ingredients

• 1 roll (16.5 oz.) refrigerated sugar cookie dough
• 2/3 cup all-purpose flour
• Royal frosting (recipe below)

Directions

1. Step 1

   Preheat the oven to 350°F. Line several cookie sheets with parchment paper and set aside.

2. Step 2

   Knead the cookie dough with the flour on a work surface until smooth. Roll out part of the dough on a lightly floured surface until 1/4-inch thick. Using a template or a 3 inch bone shaped cookie cutter, cut out as many bone shapes as possible. Transfer the cut outs to the prepared cookie sheets about 1 inch apart. Repeat with the remaining dough and scraps.

3. Step 3

   Bake the cookies until lightly golden, about 12 to 14 min. Transfer to a wire rack and cool completely.

4. Step 4

   Spoon the royal frosting for the bone cookies into a pastry bag fitted with a 1/2- inch plain round tip.

5. Step 5

   When the cookies are cool pipe the frosting into on top of the cookies. Let cookies dry for at least 2 hours before stacking.

6. Royal Frosting Recipe

   Combine the confectioners sugar, egg white powder and 5 tablespoons of the water in a large bowl. Beat with an electric mixer on slow until moistened. Add the additional tablespoon of water if mixture feels too thick. Beat the mixture on high until light and fluffy, about 3 minutes.
