Ingredients

  • Basic Muffins recipe
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1 cup cleaned blueberries
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 4 tsp. melted butter
  • 12-cup cupcake pan

Supplies

  • 12-cup cupcake pan
  • 12 cupcake liners
Tip: You may want to pick through the blueberries before you add them to the batter; the larger blueberries are usually the sweetest and juiciest.

Directions

  1. Step 1

    Preheat oven to 400°F. Line a 12-cup cupcake pan with paper liners.

  2. Step 2

    Show kids how to stir in 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon and the blueberries to the Basic Muffin recipe.

  3. Step 3

    Kids can spoon the muffin mixture into prepared muffin pans. Bake until golden and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean, about 20 to 25 minutes. Transfer to a wire rack.

  4. Step 4

    Help kids mix the remaining 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon and the sugar together in a small shallow bowl. Dip the tops of the warm muffins into the melted butter and then dip into the cinnamon-sugar mixture. Allow muffins to cool.
