Boots' Monkey Bread

A fun do-together recipe to make a delicious ring of bread. Let kids help with the mixing, and practice their counting skills too.

Ingredients

• 4 tubes refrigerator biscuits
• 1-1/3 cup sugar
• 2 tsp. cinnamon
• 1 stick margarine
• 1 tsp. vanilla

Supplies

• 12-cup bundt pan

Directions

1. Step 1

   Preheat oven to 350°F.

2. Step 2

   Help kids cut each biscuit into 3 pieces and shape each piece into palm-sized ball shapes.

3. Step 3

   With a big spoon, kids can mix together 2/3 cup sugar and 1 teaspoon cinnamon in a large bowl and then roll each biscuit piece in the mixture.

4. Step 4

   Show kids how to grease a 12-cup bundt pan with a bit of margarine. Drop the biscuits into the bundt pan.

5. Step 5

   In a small saucepan, stir together the remaining sugar, margarine, cinnamon, and vanilla. Heat on the stove until it reaches a boil. Pour over the biscuit pieces and bake for 40 minutes. When done, turn the monkey bread onto a plate and serve warm.
