Try this recipe at your child's next party. Double the ingredients or divide them in half, depending on the size of your celebration.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup chow mein noodles
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 2/3 cup currants

Supplies

  • 2 cookie sheets
  • Wax paper

Directions

  1. Step 1

    Line 2 cookie sheets with wax paper. To make each set of bug legs, arrange eight chow mein noodles, two side by side, on the prepared cookie sheets.

  2. Step 2

    Melt the chocolate chips in a medium microwavable bowl until smooth, about 45 to 60 seconds. Stir in the currants to just coat with the chocolate. Spoon about 1 tablespoon of the mixture in the center of each chow mein noodle arrangement. Place cookie sheets in the refrigerator until set, about 5 minutes.

  3. Step 3

    Gently peel bugs from the wax paper and serve.
