Chocolate Chunk Pizza Cookie

If your kids like cookies and pizza, boy will they love this recipe! Use a pizza-cutter to cut into "slices," then serve on paper plates for a true pizzeria experience.

Ingredients

• 1 cup all-purpose flour
• 1/4 cup graham cracker crumbs
• 1/2 tsp. baking soda
• 1/4 tsp. salt
• 1 stick unsalted butter, softened
• 1/3 cup sugar
• 1/2 cup light brown sugar
• 1 large egg
• 16 pieces of chocolate (Hershey's Kisses work well)
• 3 tbsp. walnut pieces (optional)

Supplies

• Parchment paper
• 12-in. pizza pan

Directions

1. Step 1

   Preheat oven to 350°F. Cut a piece of parchment paper to fit on a 12-inch pizza pan and place it on the pan.

2. Step 2

   Measure out the flour and graham crackers, and then have your child pour them into a bowl. Add the baking soda and salt and combine all the ingredients. Set resulting flour mixture aside.

3. Step 3

   Place the butter and the sugars in a medium bowl and beat with an electric mixer until light and fluffy, about 3 minutes. Add the egg and beat well. Gradually add the flour mixture and beat until just blended.

4. Step 4

   Transfer the dough to the prepared pan and pat into a 6-inch circle. Kids can help press the chocolate pieces and the nuts into the top of the dough, making sure to have ample coverage so everyone will have at least one piece of chocolate in their cookie "slice." You can count chocolate pieces together as you go!

5. Step 5

   Bake until golden brown and firm to the touch, 15 to 18 minutes. Transfer to a wire rack and cool. Cut into wedges like a pizza.
