Cream Cheese Hearts

A heart-shaped cookie cutter turns a sandwich into a love note to your little one.

Ingredients

• 2 tbsp. of your child's favorite fruit spread
• 1 tbsp. cream cheese, softened
• 2 slices white or whole-wheat bread

Supplies

• Heart-shaped cookie cutter (optional)

Directions

1. Step 1

   Spread the fruit spread onto a piece of bread and the cream cheese on the other piece. Your child can help put the pieces together to make a sandwich.

2. Step 2

   Help your child press a heart-shaped cookie cutter into the center of the sandwich to create the heart-shaped sandwich treat. Remove the remaining bread. If you don't have a cookie cutter, you can also cut the sandwich into a heart shape using a butter knife.

3. Step 3

   Pour a glass of milk or your child's favorite drink, and then serve!
