Cream Cheese Hearts

Ingredients

2 tbsp. of your child's favorite fruit spread
1 tbsp. cream cheese, softened
2 slices white or whole-wheat bread

Supplies

Heart-shaped cookie cutter (optional)

Directions

Step 1
Spread the fruit spread onto a piece of bread and the cream cheese on the other piece. Your child can help put the pieces together to make a sandwich.
Step 2
Help your child press a heart-shaped cookie cutter into the center of the sandwich to create the heart-shaped sandwich treat. Remove the remaining bread. If you don't have a cookie cutter, you can also cut the sandwich into a heart shape using a butter knife.
Step 3
Pour a glass of milk or your child's favorite drink, and then serve!

Tip: If you're hosting a party or play date, dress up a platter with different sandwich sizes and shapes and offer a variety of fruit spreads.
