Dinosaur Cookie Cupcakes

Delicious dinos! This party-perfect treat features dino-shaped cookies perched atop cupcakes crowned with chocolate crunchies.

This recipe requires extra parent involvement and a watchful eye, because it may require sharp tools or hot pans.

Ingredients

1 1/2 cups ground cream-filled chocolate cookies (such as Oreos)
24 favorite flavor cupcakes
1 can (16 oz.) chocolate frosting
24 decorated Dinosaur Cookies
24 to 48 thin pretzel sticks

Directions

Step 1
Make the Dinosaur Cookies ahead of time. Place the chocolate cookie crumbs into a small bowl.
Step 2
Spread the top of a cupcake with some of the chocolate frosting and make smooth. Roll the top of the cupcake into the cookie crumbs to coat. Repeat with the remaining cupcakes.
Step 3
Press one of the decorated cookies you made beforehand into the top of the cookie so that it is standing. Use one or two of the pretzel sticks behind the cookie as support if necessary. Repeat with the remaining cookies and cupcakes.
