Dino Dan's Dino Cookies

Refrigerated cookie dough & a dash of decorating gel make these cookies shine. Kids will roar for more!

Ingredients

• 1 roll (16.5 oz.) refrigerated sugar cookie dough
• 2/3 cup all-purpose flour
• 1 tube each (3.5 oz.) orange, green, blue, and yellow sparkle gel (such as Wilton)
• 1 tube (.75 oz.) black decorating gel

• Dinosaur cookies template
• Dinosaur cookie cutters

Directions

1. Step 1

   Preheat the oven to 350°F. Line several cookie sheets with parchment paper and set aside.

2. Step 2

   Knead the cookie dough with the flour on a work surface until smooth. Roll out part of the dough on a lightly floured surface to a scant 1/4-inch thickness. Using the templates cut out as many dinosaur shapes as possible. Transfer the cut-outs to the prepared cookie sheets about 2 inches apart. Repeat with the remaining dough and the scraps.

3. Step 3

   Bake the cookies until lightly golden, about 10 to 12 minutes. Transfer to a wire rack and cool completely.

4. Step 4

   When the cookies are cool spread some of the decorating gel on top of the cookie in a thin layer. Use another color on top for the stripes or dots. Use the black gel for the eyes.
