Prep Time: 5 min.

Cook Time: 5 min.

Ingredients

  • 1 bunch fresh mint leaves
  • 4 cups water
  • 3 tbsp. sugar
  • Mint sprigs for garnish

Directions

  1. Step 1.

Combine the mint, water, and sugar in a medium sauce pot. Bring to a boil over medium heat. Remove from heat, cover, and let stand for 30 minutes.

  2. Step 2.

Strain mixture through a fine sieve. For hot tea, reheat; for cold, just pour over ice. Have your child help garnish each glass with fresh mint sprigs before you serve the tea.

Tip: While you wait for the tea to brew completely, your child can try a nibble of fresh mint to see what it tastes like. You could also keep kids busy by making a batch of cookies to go with the tea--check out NickJr.com's Cookies & Treats section for recipes.
