Bake up a cake that looks just like this mini super hero, Geo!
All new math-minded missions starting 2/4 @ 9:30am
Tint 1/2 cup of the vanilla frosting neon blue with the food coloring. Tint 3 tablespoons of the vanilla frosting a lighter neon blue. Tint 2 tablespoons of the vanilla frosting dark neon blue and spoon into a plastic resealable bag. Tint 1/2 cup of the vanilla frosting pale peach by adding a dot of red and yellow food coloring to the vanilla frosting. Tint the remaining vanilla frosting bright yellow. Spoon the yellow frosting into a pastry bag fitted with a large plain round tip.
Trim 1/2 inch from the top and bottom of the cake to make it slightly oval. Transfer the cake to a serving platter. Spread the pale peach colored frosting in a 5 inch circle at the bottom edge of the cake to make Geo's face. Spread along the edge as well and make smooth. Spread the neon blue frosting on the remaining exposed cake to make the helmet. Spread the light neon blue frosting on the top center as the shine in the helmet.
Snip a 1/8 inch corner from the bag with the dark blue frosting. Pipe wavy bangs at the top edge of the face. Use the black frosting to pipe the eyes and the brown frosting for the mouth. Pipe a ring of the yellow frosting around the edge of the face frosting and 2 dots at the top edge of cake. Add the orange gum balls to the yellow dots.
