Preheat the oven to 450°F. Place the English muffin halves, cut side up, on a cookie sheet lined with foil.
Slice the ham into thin pieces and sprinkle on top of muffins. Top with the grated cheese. Place the cookie sheet in the oven and bake until the muffins are lightly toasted and cheese is melted, about 5 to 8 minutes.
Transfer to serving plates. Makes 2 servings.
