  • 1 small canned beet
  • 1 cup frozen mixed fruit (strawberries, blueberries, and blackberries)
  • 1 tbsp. agave nectar
  • 1 cup apple juice
  • 1/2 cup ice
  • Black jelly beans
  • 1 tube (.67 oz.) black decorating gel
  • Black straws


  • Kai-lan Straw Toppers (Optional)


  1. Step 1

    Combine all the ingredients in a blender. Process until smooth. Scrape down sides of blender and process again until smooth.

  2. Step 2

    Cut a small slit, lengthwise, on the flat side of the jelly bean and press onto the lip of the glass as the head. Pour the smoothie into glasses up to the rim. Pipe a line down the center of the glass, coming from the head, with the black gel and add a few dots on either side to look like the ladybug shell. Add two black straws on either side of the jelly bean head as the antennae.

  3. Step 3 (Optional)

    Print the Kai-lan Straw Toppers, follow the instructions, and then top off each drink with a Kai-lan straw!
