Servings: 4

Prep Time: 20 min.

Ingredients

  • 4 peeled hard-boiled eggs
  • 1 tbsp. mayonnaise
  • 1/2 tsp. powdered mustard
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1 drop blue food coloring
Tip: If you don't have try mustard, add about a teaspoon of prepared mustard to the egg yolks.

Directions

  1. Step 1

Cut the eggs in half lengthwise, remove the yolks with your fingers or with a small spoon, and place them in a bowl. Kids can mash the yolks with a fork.

  2. Step 2

Help kids measure out the mayonnaise, mustard powder, and salt. Add these to the yolks. Mix with a fork until smooth and creamy.

  3. Step 3

Kids can add the food coloring to the yolk mixture and stir until all of the color is mixed in. Scoop up about 1 tablespoon of the yolk mixture, and roll into a ball. Place the ball into an egg white and push down a little bit so that the yolk fills the whole indentation of the white. Continue until all of the egg whites are filled. Anyone with clean hands can help!

Tip: Here's a way to make egg peeling easier: after boiling the eggs, place them in a bowl in the sink, and let cool water run over them. After a minute or two, when they're cool enough to handle, crack them all over and peel them under the running water.
