Lemon-Lime Soda

This recipe has plenty of steps kids can do, like mixing, cutting with a plastic knife, measuring, and more.

Try this recipe at your child's next party. Double the ingredients or divide them in half, depending on the size of your celebration.

Ingredients

1 fresh lemon
1 fresh lime
1/4 cup plus 2 tbsp. apple juice concentrate (thawed)
3 ice cubes
1 cup seltzer or club soda

Directions

Step 1
Show kids how to squeeze juice from a halved lemon. Help kids measure 2 tablespoons of the lemon juice and put it in a glass.
Step 2
Let kids squeeze out the lime juice. Add 1 tablespoon of the lime juice to the glass.
Step 3
Mix in the apple juice concentrate. Count out three ice cubes and put them in the glass. Pour in the seltzer or club soda.
Step 4
Stir it up, and then stick in a straw and serve.
