Mediterranean Pizza

With its tomato sauce, feta cheese, and pita crust, this recipe will turn your dining room into a Greek taverna.

Ingredients

• 1 pita bread, separated into 2 rounds
• 6 tbsp. prepared pizza sauce
• 1/4 cup black olives, halved
• 1/4 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
• 6 tbsp. crumbled feta cheese
• tsp. extra olive oil

Supplies

• Cookie sheet
• Aluminum foil

Directions

1. Step 1

   Preheat the oven to 450°F. Place the pita rounds, cut side up, on a cookie sheet lined with foil.

2. Step 2

   Help kids spread each pita half with the pizza sauce. Kids can add the olives, tomatoes, and cheese to a medium bowl and stir together. Spread the topping evenly over the pita halves. Adults should place the pitas in the oven until the ingedients are heated through and the pita bread is lightly toasted, about 5 minutes.

3. Step 3

   Remove the pitas from the oven. Transfer to plates and drizzle with the olive oil.
