Milli Bumblebee Cupcakes

Ingredients

• 1 can (16 oz.) vanilla frosting
• Yellow, red, and black food coloring
• 12 unfrosted cupcakes, any flavor
• 2 strands black licorice laces

Supplies

• Small plastic resealable bags

Directions

1. Step 1

   Spoon 2 tablespoons of the vanilla frosting into a resealable bag. Tint 3 tablespoons of the vanilla frosting red with the food coloring in a separate bowl. Spoon it into a resealable bag. Seal the bags.

2. Step 2

   Divide the remaining vanilla frosting in half. Tint one half light pink with a drop of red food coloring. Tint the other half yellow with the yellow food coloring. Spoon the yellow frosting into a resealable bag. Seal the bag. Tint the dark chocolate frosting black with the food coloring. Spoon into a resealable bag and seal the bag.

3. Step 3

   Cut the black licorice into 24 two-inch pieces for the antennae.

4. Step 4

   Spread a thin layer of the pink frosting on top of the cupcakes and make smooth. Snip a small corner from the bags of frosting. Pipe an outline of the yellow area on top of a cupcake. Fill in with more yellow frosting and make smooth.

5. Step 5

   Pipe the eyes, eyebrows, mouth, and lines on top of the yellow frosting with the black frosting.

6. Step 6

   Insert the black licorice as the antennae on top of the cupcake. Pipe white dots of frosting on the eyes for the 'sparkle.' Pipe the red bangs along the edge of the yellow costume. Pipe a dot of yellow frosting on the ends of the black licorice.

7. Step 7

   Repeat with the remaining cupcakes.
