Simple Frosting

Nick Jr.'s simple frosting is dreamy! There are only five ingredients, it's easy to make, and your little ones will want to frost everything in sight.

Ingredients

3 sticks butter
2 tsp. vanilla extract
1/4 tsp. salt
6 cups confectioner's sugar (sifted)
6-8 tbsp. milk

Tip: Be sure to take the butter out of the refrigerator up to an hour before you start working. It's much easier to work with when it's at room temperature.

Directions

Step 1
Beat the butter with an electric or hand-held mixer until soft.
Step 2
Add vanilla extract and salt.
Step 3
Gradually add the sugar, one cup at a time.
Step 4
Add the milk and beat until light and fluffy. If the frosting seems too thick, add more milk until spreadable. Use immediately.

Tip: A standing mixer makes this recipe a breeze. Kids can help add ingredients when the mixer is turned off. It's a lot of fun to watch the beaters move around the bowl like crazy!
