Servings: 6

Prep Time: 15 min.

Cook Time: 15-20 min.

Ingredients

  • 1 roll (16.5 oz.) refrigerated chocolate chip cookie dough
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 container (8 oz.) whipped topping, thawed
  • Toppings:
  • 1 small banana
  • 4 strawberries
  • 8 each yellow and pink fruit chews (Laffy Taffy or Starburst)

Directions

  1. Step 1

Preheat the oven to 350°F. Line two cookie sheets with parchment paper. Knead the cookie dough with the flour until smooth. Divide the dough into six equal pieces. Shape each piece into a 5-inch disc. Arrange the discs about 2 inches apart on the prepared cookie sheets.

  2. Step 2

Bake until cookies are golden and slightly firm, about 15 to 20 minutes. Transfer to a wire rack and cool completely.

  3. Step 3

Meanwhile, spoon half of the whipped topping into a plastic bag. Press out the excess air and seal the bag. Repeat with the remaining whipped topping. Snip a 1/2-inch corner from one of the bags with the whipped topping. Pipe the whipped topping all over the cookie and make smooth. Repeat with the remaining cookies. Place the cookies in the freezer until whipped topping is frozen like ice cream, at least 1 hour.

  4. Step 4

For a fruit topped pizza, cut the banana and strawberries into 1/4-inch-thick rounds. Arrange the fruit on top of the whipped-topped cookies to resemble pizza toppings.

  5. Step 5

For a fruit-chew-topped pizza, place the fruit chews in the microwave to soften, no more than 3 seconds. Roll out the fruit chews into ropes and press each rope together. Roll out the ropes on a sheet of wax paper about 1/8 inch thick. Cut 1 1/4-inch circles from the fruit chews as the toppings. Arrange several fruit chew rounds on top of each whipped-topped cookie before serving.

Tip: You can substitute any favorite candy or fruit as toppings.
