Kai-lan Dinosaur Cupcakes Rintoo Dragon Cupcakes

Ingredients

  • 1 can (16 oz.) vanilla frosting
  • Black food coloring
  • 1/2 cup dark chocolate frosting
  • 12 unfrosted cupcakes, any flavor
  • 24 pink candy decors (Cake Mate)
  • 24 black jelly beans
  • 12 mini cream-filled cookies, cream filling removed (Oreo minis)

  • Small plastic resealable bags

Directions

  1. Step 1

    Divide the vanilla frosting into 2 bowls. Tint one part gray with a drop of black food coloring. Spoon the white frosting into a resealable bag. Tint the chocolate frosting black with the black food coloring. Spoon the black frosting into a small plastic resealable bag. Seal the bags.

  2. Step 2

    Cut 12 of the black jellybeans in half crosswise for the eyes. Set aside.

  3. Step 3

    Spread the tops of the cupcakes with a thin layer of gray frosting and make smooth. Snip a small corner from the bags of frostings. Pipe an outline of the white area with the vanilla frosting. Fill in with more vanilla frosting and make smooth. Pipe the mouth, eye brows, eyes and noses on costume with the black frosting.

  4. Step 4

    Add the black jellybean halves as the eyes, and the jellybean nose. Add the cookie halves as the ears. Add the pink candy decors as the cheeks. Repeat with the remaining cupcakes.
