Team Umizoomi Super Shape Sandwiches

Go beyond square--here are sandwiches that come in all shapes and sizes. Teach your preschooler about different shapes when you make these super sandwiches together.

Ingredients

• 2 slices whole wheat or white bread
• 2 tsp. softened butter
• 3 slices ham or favorite deli meat
• 2 radishes, sliced crosswise
• 6 slices cucumber
• 1 baby carrot, sliced crosswise
• 1/4 cup blueberries
• 1 cup gelatin dessert

Supplies

• Geometric-shaped cookie cutter

Directions

1. Step 1

   Spread a thin layer of softened butter on one side of each bread slice. Place the ham or desired deli meat on top of the butter side up of one slice of bread and make flat. Place the remaining slice of bread on top, buttered side down. Press to secure.

2. Step 2

   Cut the sandwich into as many geometric shapes as possible using small cookie cutters or a paring knife. Arrange the small sandwiches in a section in your bento box.

3. Step 3

   Toss the sliced vegetables together and arrange them in a small cup, then add them to another section in your bento box.

4. Step 4

   Remove gelatin dessert from the cup and slice into 1/2-inch pieces. Cut gelatin into 1-inch stars with your small cookie cutter. Toss with the blueberries and add to your bento box.
