Wonder Pets "Celery" Pudding

A little food coloring transforms an everyday dessert into the Wonder Pets' special-occasion snack. Celery never tasted so sweet! (Psst...let your child in on the secret--it's really vanilla pudding. But, it's fun to pretend we're the Wonder Pets!)

Ingredients

• 2 cups whole milk
• 3 tbsp. cornstarch
• 1/2 cup sugar
• Pinch salt
• 2 tbsp. butter
• Green food coloring
• 1 1/2 cups whipped topping
• Raspberries and celery leaves for garnish

Directions

1. Step 1

   Combine the milk, cornstarch, sugar, and salt in a medium saucepan. Bring the mixture to a boil over medium heat, stirring constantly. Boil for 1 minute.

2. Step 2

   Remove from heat and stir in the butter. Tint the pudding a pale green with the food coloring. Transfer to a bowl and cover with plastic wrap. Refrigerate until chilled, about 2 hours.

3. Step 3

   When ready to serve, remove the pudding from the refrigerator, add the whipped topping, and fold it in, leaving some swirls. The mixture should not be completely combined. Spoon the pudding evenly into dessert bowls. Garnish with raspberries and celery leaves, and serve!
