Backyardigans Super Spy Scavenger Hunt Game

WHAT YOU NEED

Super Spy Scavenger Hunt Game Pieces & Checklist
8.5" x 11" heavy-weight ink jet paper
Scissors
Cold lamination sheets (Optional)

PREPARING TO PLAY

Print Out the Game Pieces & Checklist
Print both pages of the Super Spy Scavenger Hunt Game Pieces & Checklist onto heavy-weight paper. Use your own color printer or e-mail this page to your local copy store and have them make color copies. You'll need one set of game pieces and checklist per team.

Laminate and Cut Out the Game Pieces
Laminate each page of game pieces before cutting them out to give them a longer play life. By following the instructions provided on the cold lamination sheets package you can laminate the page yourself, or you can take the page to your local copy store and have them do it. Finally, cut out the game card pieces.

PLAYING THE GAME

Hide the Cards
Before the party starts, hide the multiple sets of five game pieces throughout the house or yard, depending on where you will play the game.

Pick the Teams
Depending on how many kids and grown-ups are at the party, divide the group into teams of two to four children. Each team will work together to find a full set of the five pieces. Pair a grown-up with each team, if possible, or, just have grown-ups ready to help as kids search.

Review the Checklist and Begin the Search
Review the checklist of the hidden game cards with all players. The goal is for each team to find a complete set of Backyardigans "Super Secret, Super Spy" characters. Give a copy of the checklist to each team as well as posting one in a central location. Encourage each team to go in a different direction to start.

Everyone Wins!
Give out the Super Secret, Super Spy goody bags filled with treats at the end of the game. Sleuthing has its benefits!
