Step 1
Check with parents first to make sure kids don’t have any face paint or makeup allergies. Read the face paint directions carefully. Using a makeup sponge, gently dab lavender paint over the face. Be careful to avoid the eyes. Tip: To minimize squirming, hang something interesting on the wall for the child to focus on or put in a video.
Step 2
Use a small paintbrush to draw dark-purple triangles on cheeks and over eyebrows. See the Periwinkle Face-Painting Template for reference. Place a dark-purple triangle on each cheek using a makeup sponge. The triangle should extend from the ear to the middle of the cheek. Using a small brush, paint dark-purple triangles slightly askew above the child's eyes.
Step 3
With a small paintbrush, draw a dark-purple triangle extending from the top center of the forehead to the middle of the forehead, with the tip of the triangle pointing toward the nose.
Step 4
With a small paintbrush, apply pink paint to make an upside-down triangle for Periwinkle's nose. Dot three dark-purple spots on either side of the nose. Paint a small dark-purple straight line extending from the base of the center of the nose to the edge of the top lip.
Step 5
If you like, you can cut triangles out of light-blue paper and attach them to a hair band for Periwinkle’s ears. Use baby wipes or tissues dipped in water for cleanup.
