What You Need
Craft foam
Juice box
Safety scissors
Colored markers
Hole puncher
Plastic lanyard cord
Ruler
Blue's Clues Juice-Box Stickers

What You Do

Step 1
Cut a piece of craft foam 9 inches by 4 1/4 inches. This should fit around a juice box and leave a small overlap. (Make sure it fits your child's favorite brand.) You can draw the shape onto the foam with a colored marker and let your child cut it out (with safety scissors).

Step 2
Wrap the foam around a juice box and let your child help hold it in place. Make sure the overlap lines up on one of the wide, flat sides of your juice box.

Step 3
Using a colored marker, make a dot on one of the narrow sides, about 1/2 inch in from the top. Make another dot 1/2 inch in from the bottom on the same side.

Step 4
Using a hole puncher, let your child punch holes where you made the dots.

Step 5
Next, punch holes along one of the open (narrow) ends of the foam. Make the holes about 1/4 inch in from the side. You can make dots with a colored marker and let your child punch the holes. Don't punch holes too close to the edge though, and watch out for torn edges!

Step 6
Hold the foam around the juice box again and hold the overlap down against the box with the holes on the top. Let your child make little dots through each hole, onto the other end of the foam.

Step 7
Punch holes where the new dots are.

Step 8
Help your child lace the two sides together with the lanyard, as shown.

Step 9
Slide a juice box in, and slip the straw through the holes on the side.

Step 10
Let your child decorate the juice box holder with colored markers. Or you can print Blue's Juice-Box Stickers on sticker paper (available at office-supply stores). Kids can attach them to their juice-box holder.
