Expose your preschooler to the importance of expressing gratitude with these thankful activities.

The most important thing children should do during this time of Thanksgiving is to express thanks for various things in their lives. The first week of "We Are Thankful" month provides activities to help you encourage your child to think about and share who and what is important to them. Take the time to acknowledge all the people and things they are lucky to have while remembering those who are less fortunate. This is the perfect time for a young child to engage in charitable work like helping at a soup kitchen or donating old clothes and toys.

They could also save a portion of their allowance to donate to a charity of their choice at the end of the year. Activities like these help children learn to be more selfless and aware of the needs of others.
